It was only last month that Lamborghini revealed the 2020 Huracán EVO, a facelifted version of the baby Lambo which in basically a Huracán Performante on diet along with several updates on the inside as well as outside. That got all the automobile enthusiasts across the world salivating for a convertible version of the supercar. And it’s finally here, sooner than we all expected! The Italian marque has taken the wraps off the Huracán Evo Spyder that is slated for an official debut at the upcoming 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The convertible version offers all the highlights of the new Evo Coupe with the added advantage of enjoying the open sky while getting to hear the V10 symphony even better.

As expected, the mechanical specifications of the convertible version are the same as the coupe. It is powered by Lamborghini’s 5.2-liter V10 that produces 630 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, which is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The power is sent to all four wheels and the Evo also has a locking rear differential. Lamborghini claims that the Huracán EVO Spyder can accelerate from zero to 62mph in 3.1 seconds, down from 2.9 seconds for the coupe model due to the added weight of the foldable roof. However, both models have a 202-mph top speed. The foldable roof, according to Lamborghini, opens in 17 seconds and can be operated at speeds up to 31 mph. Lamborghini has also added the next-generation vehicle dynamic and aerodynamics to the Huracán EVO Spyder to give it the same kind of performance and driving capability as the fixed-roof sibling. The automaker says that the convertible Evo has five times the downforce of the existing Huracán Spyder. The Huracán Evo Spyder goes on sale in spring 2019 with a starting price of $287,400.
